I have several customers who add on after they already make a purchase (specifically wanting to upgrade shipping). I always send them another listing for the shipping difference.
When it comes to "fulfilling" these items, I normally print a label for one and then manually mark "shipped" and add the same tracking number for the add-on sale. (Hope that makes sense!)
I've never had a problem until yesterday when I noticed my Star Seller tracking percentage was down. Every item I've use a duplicate tracking number is now marked as "Missing tracking information" through my Etsy stats. (even though there is a tracking number listed and it has delivered on time)
Is this is tech issue? Or a new thing?
If it's a new thing, how do I add an add-on order to the same box without being "dinged" with using the same tracking number.
TIA!
It used to work fine but from the many posts in the forums, it does not seem to work anymore.
ahh...I do not visit the forums very much and didn't see those posts when I searched!
I'll go search some more and see what others are saying!
@AboutASprout: We can only pass along our experience, but we have not had any issues with shipping multiple orders in a single package with one tracking number. The one issue we did notice is that sometimes the additional orders take an extra day or two to show up in the CSV file correctly.
