Account verification

I had over $500 in my payment account in Etsy and when I attempted to verify my bank account the amount turned to 0. Anyone else with the same problem?

"available to deposit" should go to zero

the money should still be in "current balance"

Why suddenly we have to verify accounts? If you noticed, we do not give any additional information than the one originally given...

international finance regulations changed earlier in the year,

etsy did quite a few then, loads of posts, first from USA, then UK/Canada, then Australia, then other countries,

it looks like they are doing a "rolling programme" so everyone will have to do it eventually.

It is now required by the government that selling platforms verify and be sure all information is correct.  If I understood the ruling correct we may be required to do it yearly.  Hopefully they get it set up so there isn't a lot of glitches doing it.  The main thing to remember is everything must match exactly from what I understand.
