Dear Etsy, You provide all sellers with a message box. I wish you would use that for direct communication and updates instead of my personal email. Just received an email requesting verification of my bank account. Is this a scam or is it a legit message from Etsy?
Hello! The email you received from @etsy.com with the subject line “Verify your bank account to keep getting paid” is legitimate.
Please refer to this article for more information on the bank account verification process: https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015775908-How-to-Update-and-Verify-Your-Bank-Account-for-...
here, and an updated discussion here).
We are closing this thread to avoid confusion, thanks!
It’s legit.
@Iprefervintage There's probably also a notice on your dashboard. You can process the verification through your shop Finance section. You do not have to use the email. They DID send emails today to many sellers, though. (Etsy support is not here in Forums, so they won't read or reply to your message. This section is peer support from other sellers.) Finally, your shop email is not your personal email. It's your business email, for buyers and Etsy to use.
Legit but go to your Shop Manager - Finances - Payment settings and you will see a banner across the top.
Of course Etsy will write to you at your registered email address. They can't assume you log in to your Etsy account every day.
