Hi all,
I’m new here, I’ve open the store years ago to sell one cross stitch (didn’t got sold by end of listing). Recently I decided to properly list my crafted products. The second day after publishing the listings I’ve got two messages from different “Etsy contact center” saying my account is temporarily suspended. (One also received as an email, but instructions aren’t clear in both, and the link for the 2nd one doesn’t work)
I didn’t see anything in my dashboard or notifications about this though, but I did notice my visits/views of my items had been 0 since the suspended message. (There were some views on the first day I list them). My question is how do I know if my account is actually suspended and when it will be uplifted?
Many Thanks
Yes, scams. REAL messages from etsy will be in the "from etsy" section of your inbox. You have to check on a computer or through a browser (not on the app).
If or when etsy does need to verify anything, a notice will always be on your dashboard. They do not communicate through messages or emails.
Both were scam attempts. Put both messages in your spam folder. Your shop is not suspended.

Hey!
I'm new to Etsy, I've open a store to sell my handmade jewlery that I created. This morning, I got a message that my account has been temporarily restricted until verification. Someone maybe hacking my account. Can you help me resolve this issue? Thanks!
@SammyDJewelryCo Your shop is not restricted. Most likely, you have also received a scam message. If the message was in your regular Etsy message folder and not in the ''from Etsy'' folder, mark it as spam. Read the above links to keep informed.
Just out of curiously, if these messages continue to happen again, will I mark it as spam so I would not get hacked again?
@SammyDJewelryCo Since your shop is new, you'll probably receive other scam/spam messages. Mark them as spam. As long as you don't click on any links, however legitimate they look, you'll be ok. If you're not sure, ask the forum.
@SammyDJewelryCo Yes, just mark as spam.
Ok. Thank you so much for your help.
They must be changing the scam messages, because it's August 2024 and I've gotten several that are completely different than what is posted here. I just began my shop a few days ago and have learned about this. Yes, as others have said, just mark those messages as Spam. Any messages from Etsy will be in the "From Etsy" tab of the inbox. I just fear missing messages from potential customers, but I think after a while I'll be able to tell the difference.
