I've had an Etsy shop since 2008, and today I received notice that it has been permanently suspended - no idea why. I sell vintage, everything on the shop is genuine vintage, I have no outstanding fees, can't see anything that violates any of Etsy's policies. I've put in an appeal, but don't know why they have suspended it. Shop is Britishvintage.
A couple of hours after lodging my appeal, I got another email to say it had been suspended in error, and was now active again!
your shop is not suspended
I agree it must be a scam. We can see your shop is open too.
I think she's talking about another shop - BritishVintage?
I can't find "Britishvintage". Hopefully this was a mistake and you will get a reply to your appeal. It seems strange to go straight to suspension with no warning.
So I assume British Vintage was a second shop. Had you declared them both in the profiles of each shop? That could be a reason for suspension or violation of the new creativity standards.
Britishvintage is closed, however @TheLingerieStore does not appear to be in compliance with the requirement to 'list all the shops you run in the Public Profile section of each account' https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017604474-How-to-Open-a-Second-Shop-on-Etsy?segment=selli...
and missing UK / EU compliant shop policies with GDPR
Britishvintage is open again... what's going on here I wonder.
A couple of hours after lodging my appeal, I got another email to say it had been suspended in error, and was now active again!
Take the time to come into compliance with the Terms of Use.
Update your shop to include mention of your other stores in your Public Profile and About sections.
I can't see your shop. It says:
Uh oh! The shop you are looking for was not found.
You should spend today bringing both your shops up to compliance as was mentioned in the above posts by @LastCentury and @BagmakerSupply .
There sure seems to be a lot of "oops it was suspended in error" happening to shops lately. Things feel a bit unstable around here.
@TheLingerieStore I'm glad your shop is back up!
@WitticismsRus yeah I think 'suspended in error' means 'we train our bots to get it wrong on purpose so we can teach them why that one was wrong, but we call it a mistake because technically that's what it is'.
Etsy is a lot of things but given how desperate they are for revenue, I genuinely don't think they're that daft/lazy to accidentally deactivate innocent shops. Unless they're throwing under the bot-training bus. Gotta crack eggs, eh?
"Things feel a bit unstable around here."
Yes, very much " a bit".
I hope it's just bots making mistakes, but it sure increases my anxiety, the last time took 6 weeks, I believe, with lots of rejections, until they apologized.
Everytime I feel targetted.
"...can't see anything that violates any of Etsy's policies. "
You'e in the UK but do not accept returns in one of your shops.

Also, this is from Etsy: "If you choose to run multiple shops on Etsy, you must list all the shops you run in the Public Profile section of each account."

This shop is gone now too
I can see BritishVintage.
That's very odd,
yesterday this shop was open, and britishvintage was shut
today, it's the other way around
