API Key pending 4 days later and no response from Etsy

Hi,

I created an API key on Friday so I could import sales data into a Google Sheet.  The status showed as pending so I emailed the developer support asking how long it would take to approve.  I got an automated response that didn't answer my question so I replied.  No response by Monday morning, so I emailed again.  Still now response no and the key is still pending.

Any ideas how long it takes, or what I can do as Etsy are not replying to me?

I have just had a reply from Etsy - they are blaming high demand and large backlog on reviewing API request for approval.  They have provided no ETA.

Best guess is that with version 2 of the API being deprecated soon everyone waited until the last minute to get their version 3 key approved.

Are they even approving anyone? Totally ridiculous to have an API available and not even make even the basic endpoints available while awaiting approval for an app that's not even built yet! Anyone have any success or will this be an fruitless wait?

@Trinquisitees @TranscendingRecords : We see that the deprecation dates for V2 have been pushed back so they may be other issues. Did you try the contact address listed on https://www.etsy.com/legal/policy/api-testing-policy/169130941112

This is horrible, I didn't know Etsy took so much time to do the API approval. I can't be blocked for months like you guys in the comments above, it's really bad for business. I just learnt that ebay also haves an API service, I'll give it a try, hope it's faster
