Just noticed in our SHOP MANAGER/LISTINGS, status ACTIVE (409 items and 11 pages)...that the first 9 1/2 pages show all items EXPIRING in 2023. However, the last 50 or so items show that they have already EXPIRED, some as far back as October 2021. Asking if perhaps there might be a logical reason, so we can belay frantic research, which has yet to produce anything. thanks in advance.
Bumping this up, hopefully it will get some answers. I am currently seeing the same thing and this is the only thread I am finding on it.
I have listings that should have expired as early as November 2023. Other sellers have reported this in their shops. Etsy is aware of the problem and doesn't seem to be in a hurry to correct it. If they do, they sometimes try to back charge the shop for the time the listing should have been expired. If it happens in my shop. The problem that concerns me is that Etsy finds this and they all expire at once and that would be over half the listings in that shop. But then Etsy has also expired listings on the day I listed them for weeks and offered me 20 cents credit to make up for it. Not a good idea at all.
You can notify Etsy about the problem, wait for them to do nothing or eventually getting around to fixing it. Then wait for it to happen again because it has been going on for years and Etsy still hasn't fixed it.
This has been going on for a while, couple years or so.
Here are some other threads about it.

there are probably more but that's all I have time to hunt for right now.
Basically it's been happening for a while. Etsy is aware and apparently not concerned enough by it to bother fixing it. I have had it happening for a few years now and just manually renew them when I remember to check.
ssssh ... you're getting a freebie.
I have some of these too and they get views, visits and sales.
Not really. Or I guess I should say not for everyone.
The only ones I let expire are the ones that I'm going to break down or remake.
