A "speedy reply" doesn't get registered when replying via seller app

I had 2 inquiries in my inbox yesterday, 11hrs ago. 

I replied to one from the Etsy app. The "reply in 24hrs" banner is still present though I just replied. 

 

I replied to the 2nd one from the website. The banner changed to "good job for replying within 24hrs" or whatever. 

 There's always something wrong with the seller app. My workaround is to double message a buyer, I message once from the app because it doesn't work then I message again from the site which does work.

I’m having the same issue on my phone on Safari

i responded to two new messages , the responses are clearly visible and the customer replied to my response so I know my message went through but I am still getting a pop up on that message thread telling me to respond to the new message within 24 hours ?!

I've been having the same issue with both the app and desktop site. I'm running the app in Android and using the desktop site on a Mac running Chrome.

I first saw this yesterday morning, with a message to which I'd already responded on Sunday afternoon. I was able to clear the notification yesterday by sending another reply, but replying again doesn't seem to be clearing the two notifications I'm getting on messages today.

I am also having the same issue on desktop using Mac and chrome.

It's happening to me and I've just chatted with support who say that if you answer a message, that will count as a quick reply and the banner should disappear in 48 ours.  The bug is apparently being worked on.
