I've been on etsy.. 11 years now. I was a star seller the minute the program went live, and due to a clerical error.. im currently not, and still miffed about it.
And today i get hit with a 75% reserve on my account. Now i do made to order furniture, giving me 25% to fulfill and order, isnt do able.
I actually got a call back from support, and they said they didnt know why the reserve was placed on my account, just that it existed. I finally got him to admit that it was just an algorithm that decided i needed a reserve. So i asked who could fix this, he said no one. I asked who could change it so it was more reasonable, he said no one.
This legit feels like they're trying to get me off the platform, if my finical situation was not good, i wouldnt be able to function under these restrictions.
And the fact there's no process for review, or to even find out what you did to be able to not do it in the future is crazy to me.
Any help or just a good luck would be appreciated.
Does anyone have any advice? Or do i just have to weather the storm and suck it up and deal with it because i inadvertently angered the algorithm?
Just a FYI....The final post in this Thread reports that Etsy removed the PAR on the Shop hours after the Shop attained the SSP Badge for June.

Will local pickup orders be part of my evaluation for a Star Seller badge?
All physical listing orders must include a valid tracking number or a shipping label purchased on Etsy to be considered for a Star Seller badge. At this time, we’re unable to make exceptions for local pickup orders.
This also applies to delivery orders.
I have been on Etsy since 2010 and my sales have been great. My items are all made to order because I do custom drapes, etc ,etc. When an item sells I purchase the fabric that the customer wants then wait on the fabric to get in then cut , sew, and ship. My clients knows its 3-4 week process. Most of my clients are repeat customers. Sometimes I have to extend the ship date if the fabric gets in late or is on back order.
I need the money from my sales to purchase the raw materials to make the order and keep cash flow.
If Etsy hold on to 75% what do I use to purchase the supplies?
I just feel like refunding and cancelling all my orders and close shop.
Etsy should just come out and let the sellers know what is gong on with them financially instead of taking us for fools. Google Etsy financial troubles and you will see what's really going on with them.

I have been selling for 16 years.. made to order wedding dresses so some customers of course buy a year out. This is not reasonable for me to sell on with this reserve. What they are doing is not right. Etsy support looks to be handled by Artificial Intelligence .. an algorithm I’m guessing put two of my shops on reserve. It’s complete crap
The shop you are posting from has Rentals, which are not allowed under Etsy's Terms of Use.

That is most likely why you are on Reserve.
