5 star ratings

I don't feel that Etsy has updated my my store has updated the amount of my customers'  five star ratings.  It says I have an average of 4,8% rating, when in fact with over 450 sales, I have only had 5 loe reviews, with most early on in my store opening.  I have breern store owner ror 3-4 years now....I would  like someone to look into this for me.  With each new 5 star review, I keep waiting for the updated score of a stellar rating.  Thanks, Donna at

Are you talking about your shops overall star rating or the average review rating metrics for Star Seller? They are 2 different things. 

The overall star rating for your shop is based on the past 12 months of reviews. The average review rating displayed on star seller page in shop manager is based on a 3 month period of time.

It's just basic math. The total number of stars received divided by total number of reviews received. 

So for overall shop reviews for the past 12 months- 

You have received a total of 19 reviews in the last 12 months (since 1/20/2022).

The total # of stars received in that time = 90 (17- 5 star reviews, 1- 4 star review and 1 - 1 star review)

If you do the math 90 / 19 = 4.736842105263158 or 4.7 average.

You have a 1 star review on May 27, 2022.  You also have a 4 star review on August 15, 2022.  On May 27 the 1 star will drop off and you will be back up to 5 stars.

Our shop's rating is the average for reviews in the last 12 months, not the average of all time.
