3 new messages didn't affect to message response rate

I lost my start seller because I had 3 messages that didn't count or affect the message response rate. I don't know why; it's so strange. I asked Etsy help, and they referred me here.

Is there any bug? Because of that, I lost my Star Seller badge

Have you downloaded the cvs file that gives the details of which messages counted and how they were counted?

Were the 3 messages that didn't count at the tail end of the month? If so, they will count for the next star seller period. The cut-offs for counting may exclude the last day of a month which is counted in the next month.

Yes, I downloaded the CVS with the details of which messages counted.

The 3 last messages came on the 27th of July and the 31st of July.

It includes the messages with auto-reply. Somehow didn't count. I also didn't mark them as spam

Etsy customer service say to come here to get you off the phone. However it is your fellow sellers here in this forum so we cant resolve anything for you. However, we can point you to relevant info or suggest ways to resolve.

Firstly, go to your star seller stats for the relevant period and download the messaging CSV file .This will give you a breakdown and show you where the problem is.

Also for clarification you do know that the messaging metric measures all first messages don't you ?

I mention this because if you purchased something and didn't reply to a sellers message, or you didn't send a spam message to spam then will affect your metrics.

I know the metric measures for all first messages.

I downloaded the CVS and checked which messages didn't count in the message response rate.

FYI, I'm the seller, which means I responded to the buyer's messages. I also didn't mark any messages as spam.

The 3 messages were coming on 27th July and 31st July. So, I think it should still count in the message response rate

@NurCoop: Messages from July 31 will not count because a new thread is not included in calculations until after the 24 hour reply window has passed. Also Star Seller stats are in UTC not your time zone.

It may just be a question of semantics, but keep in mind that the Star Seller metric is NOT all new messages but only the first message of all new incoming threads.
