@Bijouxdulotus - This link from Etsy on adding tracking & completing orders:
Scroll down where it reads you have 3 days after completing the order & entering the tracking number to edit any errors.
A few other things to note. Depending on the shipper you have used, there are some shippers Etsy does not recognize so they cannot follow the tracking.
Some shops - in the EU as well as Australia & the USA - have reported a glitch where despite their entries being typed in correctly, for some reason the shipper used gets changed. So for example, a DHL package with a DHL tracking number will glitch and indicate the package shipped through FedEx. This glitch confuses the tracking program, since obviously a DHL number will show as "invalid" if FedEx is suddenly the shipper.
Shop owners have to go back and review their completed orders within the 3 day edit window and make the needed changes to correct the glitch. Etsy says they are working on this problem, but it may take a long time before the glitch is found and corrected.
@Bijouxdulotus: An interesting suggestion, but we find it easier to just daily check the previous day's shipments for any that do not show as in transit (we have been going that since well before Star Seller).
