2FA texts have stopped arriving on my phone.

I haven't logged into my Etsy shop for a few days, but up until now two factor authentication was working fine. Tonight I tried 5 times asking for a resend each time, but no texts came through to my phone. Is this a known problem Etsy? I can't find anything similar when I searched all forums. Worried!

Yes thanks @PrimFun, I did, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to log in. I was panicking until I remembered the back up codes...then it was a matter of finding where I'd filed them :o))

The same thing happened to me about 40 minutes ago....but it's working now. Probably just an Etsy glitch, but it sure was scary there for a minute!

It's weird. I went to my account security because I don't have backup codes and my two factor authentication was already turned on. It did not give me an option to download any codes. It simply said "authentication code will be sent to your phone number".

CarolinaGifts, it might be worth you setting up 2FA again. Below is an extract taken from the link given by ArtDolls in the first post in this string.

I was sent a list of authentication codes at the time I set up 2FA, then I saved them in a document on my PC. I chose the SMS option. The codes are to help yo get into your account in the type of emergency you and I experienced today. I hope it helps.

<<To set up two-factor authentication on Etsy.com:

1. On Etsy.com, in your Account settings, go to Security.
2. Under Two-Factor Authentication, choose Turn on 2FA.
3. Choose which option you want to use for 2FA: SMS, Phone, or Authenticator App. 
4. Select Continue. 
5. Follow the instructions on screen to confirm the 2FA verification.
6. You'll be given backup codes. Choose to either Save to your device or Copy codes. 
7. Select Done. >>

UPDATE *** Logged into my shop today and the 2FA code pinged into my phone within seconds. Must have been another Etsy glitch happening yesterday.

ANOTHER UPDATE: Three messages have pinged into my Etsy messages since my original post on this. They all start with the same question; "Hello. Are you available right now?". From three different senders, none of which have an Etsy shop. I'm not sure if it's related to the issue with the 2FA codes not arriving, but I've blocked and reported them and taken extra security measures. For more details, please see my more recent post about this issue on the Managing Your Shop forum. To gather extra evidence to pass on to Etsy about this possible scam, I'd be interested to know if CarolinaGifts4You has received any such messages? Thank you.

If you can, download the google authenticator app, this way there is a backup in case anything happens to your phone, or you do not receive the messages on your phone.

If you lose your phone or it breaks, you just download the authenticator app on your new device and log in and all your 2FA accounts are there.

In addition to my post regarding the three strange messages I received. I should add, all three people favourited my shop. I just discovered that all three are the same person. I blocked the first and when I go to the following two they are already blocked!

I am experiencing the same issue since yesterday. I moved to a new laptop and it is asking me to enter the 2FA security code while signing in to Etsy. I have tried many times in the last 24 hours but haven't recieved any codes via SMS. Unfortunately I don't have the backup security codes. I am not sure how I lost them but I can't find them. I have been trying to reach out to Etsy help, but that hasn't worked either. I don't know what to do.
