What are you making this summer?

Hello all,
Get the creative juices flowing and make something!

I am making pedistal sinks this week and I have to have them glazed and ready to go by the weekend!

Next week I am making lidded jars with big lids...and knobs, maybe.

What are you going to make?

Re: What are you making this summer?

I really need to get my booty into the garage and crank out some more Elephant Ear, Shy Fox and Sea Dragon Tiles. Also have plans for a siamese cat tile for my Boo and need to sketch and create it to make a mold for it. It's just so hot outside!!!

Re: What are you making this summer?

My pots are pretty colorful. I want to pull back and explore just using mostly white. Will be fun to see if I can stop myself from using all that color and make it work :)

Oh my goodness, I know what you mean. I made some white tiles last weekend, but I just can't get away from all the different colors available (and that I can mix). Have fun!

Re: What are you making this summer?

I'm making some platters inspired by a trip to Bimini that we just took. It's been a few months since I've made something just for fun and it's really helping me feel more positive about my work in general!

Re: What are you making this summer?

I'm making some new vases both slab built and thrown. I'm also working on 18" platters that are made on a bisque mold with a thrown foot.

My big project though is going to be creating a new indoor booth for my fall shows!!

Happy potting everyone!

Re: What are you making this summer?

I am working on a lot of travel mugs for a couple of cafes. I have the urge to make lidded pieces which doesn't happen very often. I am going to start with honey pots & canisters.
Have a muddy summer!

Re: What are you making this summer?

I'm doing a lot of small sculptures. Its too hot in my studio to work in the summer, so I'm finding little critters built upon baseball-sized pinch pots are something I can do well indoors where its air conditioned.
Its really got my creative juices going!

I'm about to start making Christmas decorations for a Christmas Gift Fair
on a wine farm in October. It's cold and wet and the middle of winter here in South Africa. I'm having problems drying out the porcelain clay :(

I'm taking advantage of the foliage while it's here. I'm making leaf bowls and platters with lily pads, hostas, sunflowers and anything else I can scavenge from the garden.
