I grew up and went to school in Western Pennsylvania. My mother, who was an elementary art teacher and artist, was a great influence on me. I have been creating since I was very young. Now, I live on a ranch by the Madison River in Montana near the headwaters of the Missouri River. The wild of Montana is in my back yard. The wolves, the rattlesnakes, are right out my doorstep. In the cedars and junipers of the hills and valleys is my shady grove. And as Jerry Garcia sang it, "Shady Grove my little love..." This is my little love. Here my husband and I run a guest ranch and raise our two young children, three dogs, a flock of chickens, and two angora rabbits. With more than 16 years experience in the arts, I have refined my creativity to have a professional quality. My work is an on going discovery process, building on each new thing I experience and learn. You will always find new pieces in my shop. I am a part-time potter and have many, many other challenging things on my plate. I have a BFA in ceramics and fibers from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, 1998.
