Sorry Irene!

Hello all,

SPA was hit by Irene, as I'm sure many of you were. I hope there was no serious damage to anyone. I had seven trees fall around my property, it's a mess. You haven't heard from me lately because I've lost power as well. It went out on Sunday and I don't anticipate getting it back until Sunday. So what did I do? I packed up and went home to Mom!

I'm getting back in the swing of things, so look for a featured potter and other discussions. Thanks all for hanging in there with me. Let's hear from some of you about your Irene experience, share your stories here...

ooh. sorry Susan! I feel for ya down on the gulf coast having been through a few as well. Glad you're safe and hope clean up goes well and the lights are back on soon!

Stay safe. I used to live in Miami and remember the craziness that went on after some of the hurricanes. Hope you get your power back soon!

I was just on the edge of the hurricane mess as it came to shore in NC, even had a show that day! We had some post-hurricae tornadoes and awful rain and wind for several days. Potter Mark Hewitt who is near me had a tree crash into his house, but nothing happened to the large vessels sitting in the yard! Thank you Liberty. I'm assuming you didn't do the show that day? Was it canceled? Glad you came out of the mess unscathed. Unfortunate for Mark, give him our regards.

I actually did do the show! It was just very windy, but we all ended up packing up early by mid-afternoon. There were still quite a few visitors (it was in a park) and did not get too dismal until later in the day!
