Sorry I have not been around. I hope to be back to promoting us all soon. I still won't be able to be here everyday like I used to but I will be here a few times a week. My Mom is home but in bad shape and I just don't have the time to be here everyday like before!

Last year in January I had the biggest month I ever had on etsy. This year, nothing...... Hope this does not foretell the upcoming year.

Hi guys, glad to see you back again, even if not every day. Hang in there and be strong. I'm getting ready for the "hospital round" soon again so just taking one day at a time.
I have only had a hand full of sales through out the holiday season too. Last year was much better for me as well. I think things will pick up soon. We can still keep faving and promoting each other to get our shops out there. So Happy New Year to all and hang in there !! " )

I've finally got back on here but not up to promoting as much as I was, hopefully that will improve with better weather in the spring.

I know how you feel I don't feel like promoting.
I had a lady want a refund and when I asked her to return it she said she threw it out. I am not refunding without a return and I think he was rough with the fascinator. I have sold at least 30 in all these year or more and nobody ever had a problem. I know they are well made but of course feathers are delicate. Anyway I got an order for four fascinator a week ago and now three. I did horrible last year and barely sold anything but hopefully this is a change and I will do better this year. I also have a great order coming in the fall. The lady who ordered 50 barrettes at a discount of $3 each and free shipping want another 50 in the fall for the December charity even for an art center. SHe said they sold out quickly and it makes me wonder why they don't sell here . It also tells me if I could only get to a craft fair I think I would do well. I am going to get started making them now so they are ready. 50 is going to take some time since they are all hand sewn flowers.I am really down on feather fascinators and need to make some for my shop.I was not crafting with all that was going on the past three months but now I feel motivated to craft. I also need to make angels in case the snowbirds want to buy more. I don't think they could possibly want more but you never know.

Happy that you sold another 50 barrettes. And I wonder what the person that wanted their money back was thinking about when they threw it out instead of mailing it back. Some people?!
I'm rethinking my shops and the things I sell. I decided I have gotten distracted from what I originally wanted to do here on Etsy and I'm redoing, rethinking things. Maybe selling some of the things I have collected as supplies. I have a bunch of things like charms, feathers, and jewelry making supplies. When I start cleaning out stuff I'll let you all know in case you want something.

She threw it away... honestly Julia it must be all you can do to tell her to throw herself away. Congrats on the barrettes hopefully this will become a great outlet for you.

Hi Denise! You are so right about straying from original intent. I have done the same and find myself mixed up as to even know where to start to create again. True to ourselves is best.

Denise I am trying to look at what sold and what has not to say give up of the stuff that has not sold even though I can't understand why it didn't and make more of what did. Selling supplies you know you are not going to use is a good idea.

Just closed my The Craft Star shop. No need to pay $5 for nothing and I just find myself stretch so thin I do not keep up with my teams. Cannot do that miss you guys!

Just joined a couple more team, eeek, one for Monster High Dolls because I have started to make doll jewelry and will list some soon. Then one for Kawaii Style which I love and hope to do more of.

Trying to open up new markets because sales are real bad......

I need to close my craftstar. I don't need to be paying $5 for nothing too. I might not make much here but I do get my listing fees back because I get at least a few charms sold each month if not a big order.

sorry hear that about your mom hoping she will get better and that all will be okay! Thank you! I am excited, sept new baby dec a wedding, although the house is really empty! since my son moved out and away! working on some goodies today!
