Fourth of July Swap

I am starting a Swap for Fourth of July for anyone interested, Local or international. If your International just patriotic themed..

This one has a long range swap time frame.I could not think of a theme that was right around the corner. If you have any idea's for a swap event you would like me to start let me know.

If your unfamiliar with what a swap is, here you are;
-Any one who wants to participate signs up, and ships their items by the designated date. everything is shipped to me, the swap leader. The items you will ship can be anything related to the Theme (Fourth of July in this situation), and you will ship the same quantity as the other members in the swap. (Lets say there are 7 other members, you ship 7 Fourth of July themed items.)

-After the items are shipped to me by the designated date, I will ship you 7 different and unique items from each of the other people participating!

-It is a fun way to get cool items, and promote yourself!

There are rules;
1) You must ship the items to be by the designated date. There will be no late items accepted. Anything late will be shipped back, and you will not be allowed to participate in any other swaps. Same with any no shows.

2)Item must relate to the theme in some way.

3) No complaining about an item received.

The Sign up starts now and will end on April 1st.

All Items must be Shipped to me by May 1st.

All swap Items will be shipped out to you on or before July 4th, more than likely WAY before! (Keep in mind if you are international I will do my best to have it there in time, but I'm no miracle worker of the USPS)

@Lindsay H: Do we have anyone else other than Mel from BLPhotography that is international this swap? So far?

I would to see this as a Patriotic Swap instead of just a 4th of July since were swapping international... Since all of my glasses are different would I be able to do a Canadian themed glass for Mel?

I believe Mel is the only one, at least the only one to voice it. Mostly everyone else is a familiar face anyway. Good question though. I can do international flag patchs for patriotism if anyone else is not from the good ol' USA.

I had been thinking the same thing as Carolyn Gray, about doing something different for Mel from BLPhotography. This is the first time I've ever done anything like this and I am having a ball with these, but because I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to get everything made in time I've kept a list of everyone as they signed up and out of curiosity I checked out everyone's shop and on my list made a note of where they were from and Mel is the only one in this swap that isn't from the USA. Since I still have one item to make for this swap I can easily make it Canadian instead of red, white and blue. I can't wait to get these and the Mother's day swap in the mail and see what kind of swap is next!!

I just blame it on my ptsd and ocd I over think everything and have to make list to keep on track that and I love to make list! I list everything and anything, or maybe I get it from my Mother, she raised seven kids on her own and had to keep track of everything just to make ends meet. Rubbed off on me since I am now her primary care giver. Mom is 91 and mentally sharp but is unable to get around much now.

Yes, I am from Canada as well, but would love to see some red, white and blue. Don't worry about crafting especially for me, either. :-)

Out of curiosity, do you all want some Canadian patriotism from us two Canucks? I would love to have your American items as a neat memento of international cooperation and friendship so I thought I would offer you Canadian pride items for the same reason. If not, though, I wouldn't mind pretending to be American for one day, lol.

I want to make a crochet skirt. I'm thinking I'll make it out of white cotton yarn. It would be perfect for wearing over another skirt a slip or even a dress. It would also be the perfect swim suit cover up. If anyone is interested in this item please let me know for sizing purposes.
