Your Critique?

Hi all. I am Scott, new to the group. Thanks for having me.

Wondering if you could give some advice. I love being in the shop more than anything and I feel I have a decent & unique product. But I'm a downright lousy salesman. I make lots of different things... But I kinda feel like hand made signs will be my ticket to quitting my day job.

I just signed up for the paid searches. will spend some time reading the posts here. Any other bits of advice?

I appreciate it and look forward to being part of the group. Here are some examples of my work...

Thanks

Re: Your Critique?

Hi Scott,

All I can say is "WOW", what a beautiful shop you have and your signs are absolutely gorgeous!!! You definitely have unique signs for sure! I took a look at your shop and from what I can see you are on the right track for sure. You are using multiple tags and your titles look great. Of course, I'm no "pro" by any means and hopefully others will help you out as well. I LOVE your shop, I truly wish nothing but the best for you! Take care. Heather.

Re: Your Critique?

Your signs are beautiful Scott!! I know you haven't had many sales, but hang in there. I'm not an expert by any means with hand carved signs, but I'm sure it takes a LOT of time and work, so its a talent that is far and few in between. I would search other signs similar on here and see what they are pricing their items to be at, and maybe see if you need to adjust your prices to be competition for them. Or maybe look into other sites to sell as well, such as zazzle or Ebay for your signs to get more sales. :) Good luck!

I have no advice for you, as I myself am just getting started. I only wanted to let you know that the craftsmanship of your signs is absolutely stunning! You have a unique, high quality product that I have not come across often. Best of luck with everything, Scott!

Re: Your Critique?

HI Scott

I love your signs and I think you will do well. I see the post was earlier this year, how have the sales been for you? Ive been with Etsy for over 3 years now (SignCreation is my 2nd store, Linsartwork is my other store) and all I can say is hang in there. I found that the more you are involved with the site the more you are noticed and the more sales you make. I have been more active this year with both stores and I have made more money than the previous years combined where I wasn't as active. keep up with the "likes" , social networking-especially Pinterest, I get a lot of lookers/buyers from there, and convos. Etsians love to hear from each other.

Good Luck

Have a great weekend
Cheers
Linda
