Sign Shop Owners, Please Help!

I am getting NO views each day. I have updated my tags, pics, and descriptions but nothing. Actually, when I search for "reclaimed wood signs" or things like it, my listings come up close to the top.

So... Is something wrong with my signs? My shop? Please be honest!

I notice that many shops on etsy have the worst tags yet are getting tons of views and sales.

Are you promoting outside of etsy? Do you promote on twitter, facebook and blogger? On blogger if you are selling a bear sign and you name the file "bear sign" and post on blogger your images will show up in google images. I get a lot of traffic this way. I put my etsy url on images I post on blogger and a link back to my shop in the description.

Maybe try changing your tags up a bit? I agree on the promoting on fb. :)
It's actually been pretty slow for me too.

Thank you all! Authentic, I haven't done any outside promoting and I think this would be a good idea! Angie, I have changed my tags up quite a bit.

It might be the time of year, but all of the sudden I am getting a few more views and favorites. I'll try the outside promotion and see how that works.

Not to sound ignorant, but does it help your shop when people favorite your items?

I like your signs, but your descriptions dont say if they are painted, engraved or what...adding that might help!

I dont get a ton of views or sales either but I randomly checked one of your items and I notice you didn't use all the tags available. Always use all of your tags if possible. Use things like 'custom signs' or 'personalized signs', etc.. You have to try to think of what others are searching for. Most may not necessarily search reclaimed wood but instead they are looking for family sign.

I just joined Etsy 11-15 after being in business for just over a year. It takes a lot of getting used to. I know that I have not used all of the tags on all of my items, mainly because I am not sure what to use.

I am getting better but so far I only have about 1/4 of my inventory listed. I am still working on that. I just discovered the teams today so hopefully that will help. I have attached links to my FB page and I am paying for the Etsy ads. It's a huge learning experience :)

Hi! Honestly I think its because you only have two listings in your shop. :) I have close to or at least 100 because people have needs for all sorts of different signs. There are SO many different signs that could be made. And yes I agree with the above comment to use all tags possible. Use rustic, prim, distressed wood sign, hand painted, anything that would draw a buyer in. Reclaimed wood isn't something I'd use in a tag because I don't think its something that people would look for. Maybe just put it in your listing. :)

i only see one sign.... more posting or items for sale is a simple way to increase views.
