Hello! I am very new to the world of selling on ETSY. I have just opened my shop EDorit Custom Creations. I haven’t even posted anything for sale yet but would like to do so soon. I make hand painted custom signs (some are distressed). I have always made signs for friends and co-workers and cannot wait to start selling on ETSY. I know it can be a slow process to start but I am very optimistic. This will not be a main source of income for me so I am ok with not getting a sale right away (even thought that would be fantastic!). But here are a few questions I have for everyone:
1. I plan on having a few signs in my shop ready upon order. They will just be general signs with general quotes, sayings etc. But I mainly create custom made signs. How does anyone else market custom made items as these are not something I can photograph ahead of time and post it for sale?
2. What are the best ways to advertise for custom made items?
Any help or support you can give would be greatly appreciated!
