Looking to make more improvements

I'm still struggling with my shop. I've made some changes that were suggested. But don't some to getting many views or sales still.
Is the shop to seasonal?

What am I not doing?
HELP!!

Hey Sue!

I just checked out your shop. I love that you can tell how much care and skill was put into each item. I do feel like most of your items are seasonal. Especially for me living in hot and humid East Texas. What about making some items that you can sell year round. Maybe some toys or baby booties? I hope this helps.

Hey Sue,

I checked out your shop. Policies are good & look nice, friendly & trustworthy. You have very cute items there, but I also think it's pretty seasonal.

On top of that, I think you could improve your photos.
You're doing a good job on taking many different photos of the items & showing them from different angles, but I think you should choose a more neutral background & more importantly: one or two background for all your items to get more of a unified look to your shop. Also, why don't you put your clothes on models so that people can see how they look once they're on?

Also, something's wrong with you "about" page. Maybe you copied it from a word document and the layout got changed? There are weird breaks and the text ends in a comma.

Lastly, I think your banner is cute, but it would look better with a logo (or at least your shop name) on top of it.

I would suggest a new shop banner for starters, you can buy one right here on Etsy for a few dollars or quite a few dollars. Search for Etsy shop banner, knitting theme, and you will probably find something that serves your shop better.

Then photos, which are the hardest thing to get right in a shop I think. If you don't have any small children available to model the clothing and hats, how about a light colored wall inside your house or a clothesline outside, either with the sky as a background or a fence. Hang the clothes with old fashioned clothespins on a line and then after you take the photos use a program like picasa (free to download and use) and lighten up the tone of the photos.

Everything is in 'pictures'. The clothes are adorable but the pictures don't catch me. Check how others photo baby clothes. To me the pictures also have to be clear, sharp, & standout. Try to use a simply theme throughout your listings. Make it your unique look.

What beautiful work you do! I appreciate that you have added the cotton items as your featured items this time of year. Adding photos of the items on a lifelike doll or baby would help (though I imagine that would be a job all its own!!!) I looked through the tags and they make sense to me. I read an article that says the first three words in your item description are the most important. Keep up the good work. I think it is also important to add more items, perhaps you could concentrate on embroidery for summer items?
Remember to post new items or renew often to keep you name out there!

Just wanted to say that I think your work is lovely. You can see that you take a pride in the pieces you make, and as a knitter, crocheter, sewer.... I know how long some of these pieces take to make up. I also think they are very fairly priced. I believe your photos aren't doing justice to your items though... Maybe a contrasting color for the paler items, some photos of them being worn by children or babies would be helpful too.

Not that I am an expert as I will also be looking for help!

Photos are my biggest issue , the lighting is not great from taking pictures.

As far as a model - I'll have to see if I can borrow one of Mom's reborn babies as their are no little live models here at this time.

Sometimes even when there are little models it can be difficult to pin them down for a great photo! I'm still waiting for photos of my little six month old grandson wearing some hats etc!

Looking at other folks stores with a critical eye is making me look more to my own and setting I really need to be doing work on it.
