Please Critique!

Hello!

I opened my shop a few months ago. I have had a couple of sales, but am clearly nowhere near being consistent yet. I would like a critique on anything you see in the shop that could use some help. I'm trying to improve in every way I can, and there is so much to learn, so any advice would be helpful.

I'd also love an idea of new ways to promote the shop if you've got any. I already use a facebook page, a twitter page, do #handmadehour on twitter, am part of a few teams that focus on treasuries, use wanelo, pinterest, and have a link to my etsy on my website. Any other ideas would be great, if you have a tactic that works.

Thanks all!
Kat

Okay, so let me say right off the bat I can tell right away that you have some beautiful pics. I don't think your product is the issue, so that leave being found.

this team can help you with seo. Search Engine Optimization is how you're found in the search and while I'm not an expert, having the words photo print as part of the first three words of the title in almost all your listings isn't going to work out well for you in terms of search
https://www.etsy.com/teams/10713/etsy-relevancy-seo-and-stats

You have some one word tags, which are not currently favoured in search and you have repeated words in your tags, also not ideal in search right now.

Policies - in your payment section you don't say what forms of payment you take (probably doesn't make any real difference, but I noticed it so someone else might as well)
In your refunds section I might add something along the lines of - I want my clients to be happy and am more than happy to work with you to make that happen. Something friendly, the policy is clear but I don't get a real sense that you're willing to work with your customers if they're not happy (probably not true at all, it's just the presentation).

More cards may be a way to sell as well (people who don't have the space for a piece of art may buy cards instead). Take a look around and see what some other photography shops are selling in addition to prints, and put your own spin on those additional products.
I love the playing cards idea.

Just a word of warning, i know people do it, but if you ship anywhere but the pp address and the person says they didn't get it, you're on the hook and will have to refund the money to the pp account. You're not supposed to mail things out to addresses other than pp address.

I hope this helps, good luck and happy selling.

Hi,

I am really new at Etsy myself but I thought I would just let you know I would have liked to know more about you in your profile. Maybe something enthusiastic explaining you love of your work.

I do not know if this will help sales but may help a customer connect with you as a seller.
