What is everyones preference on them?
80 is for assembly of the pieces of the fabric/quilt
90 for the top stitching/FMQ
Is what I have heard for using with 100% cotton. I ask as the eye's on the 80's are so small and my needle threader doesn't work anymore and it is time consuming (I know...minutes, but that is still time consuming!) to finally get it threaded and when I use the 90...it is much easier and faster...but the 90 is a bigger needle..does that make bigger holes in the fabric? I only know that the 90's are good for sewing through the 3 layers for the top stitching....but guess I never thought about the hole it makes.
So...everyone mention what you use and why! Thanks so much!
