Christine. As far as I know you cannot edit a coupon after it has been activated. You have to deactivate or delete and make a new one. You would have to change the coupon name too.

I would like to offer a free gift worth (XX.XX) to any customer who purchases a certain amount of my product. Do I create a sale for this item or a coupon? I would like it to be seen in my listings and available always to everyone who meets the purchase requirement. How do I do this?

I love the coupons! I believe it has helped with sales in addition to the marketing tools regarding promoting exposure at a small price. Free shipping in addition has turned heads and has helped with getting that sale. I wish I had time to read all of the forums because that's where I got the info on how to promote my little shop. Thanks!

I told one of my frequent shoppers that I had a coupon running for 20% off but when she tried to use it - it was rejected. I NEVER make mine expire or turn them off myself, but it seems that ETSY has. WHY????

I had to go in and CREATE a new one, then check off all the sections of my shop that it was to be used for - WHY???

The old was was sooooo much better.
Now I need to learn a whole new system, that does not seem better. At least not to me.

Back again - I can't seem to find a way to deactivate a coupon. The ones that Etsy has turned off - without me knowing it -- OR, how do I turn them back on????

Just thought I'd check back in, but I see no response yet.

I have quite a few coupons I've created - it seems that the ones that have not been used were the ones that Etsy deactivated. Is there a way for Etsy to turn them back on, or is there a way for ME to?
If not, how do I delete them so I can create them all over again.

It has always been my understanding that you can only use the coupon name once and when it ends...it ENDS. If you name your coupons XYZ, you can never use that name again.

Yes, that was my understanding too - but it used to be that you could make them active or inactive. That no longer seems to be the case.

I've been sending out cards with my holiday orders offering a percentage discount for social media posts with my jewelry, and ideally I would like to set these coupons up as unique code, one time use. Is there a way to do that? Anyone have any tips? Thank you!

This is a great idea. Its nice to reward customers, would also be nice to have an additional Thank You Code so we can have two... One sent automatically and one we can tick (choose) to maybe sent to A customer who orders more, or as a special extra.
