Hi Cocokate,
Thanks for your reply. I have 35 new Etsy members this week who are advertising their stores, granted that may sound slow for something that is free. Maybe it’s for the reasons suggested in this post from a Etsy team forum:
Etsy forum question: “Andy...Could you give us details on this site? Logistics? How many come through daily etc?
I think many folks are leery about something that is FREE.
Many sites will say FREE and then you find out, once your there that "For only 9.99 a month you’re up grade will get you seen better".
I have several friends that joined a few well known sites. Now they are bothered with calls and emails everyday to upgrade”
My Reply: “The stats on the site are low at the moment only about 100 - 150 per day, But that said that's pretty good considering my competition and the fact I only launched 2 week ago.
The site is free and will stay free for regular listings, of course there is a featured front page listing option but nobody twists any arms to do so. I run this by myself in my spare time, so there will be no outside interference, no down the line 9.99 fees or email spam, I like to think it is what it is! it’s for all to use and the more support it gets the more it will rise in the ranks..
I have been building websites for a few years now and they have all succeeded one in-particular is www.ditched.ie a website to help relationships I built this one from start to finish 3 years ago and it is still going strong.
But www.allhandicraft.com is a different kettle of fish it cannot or will not succeed without advertisers such is the nature of the site. Any way if you need any more info I tell all.... drop me a line”
Maybe the above is true but its here if anybody wants to use it www.allhandicraft.com
Some pages that may help sellers are:
Ensure Your Etsy, ArtFire or eCrater stores Appear on Google Product Search
How to price your handmade crafts pricing handmade items
How to promote your Etsy, Artfire or Ecarter shop
Can I make money selling handmade crafts
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Andy.
