Increase Sales

Hi all,

Actually, I have no idea how this group works.

I'm a member of Etsy since 2018 and from that time I had just 3 sales from my friends.

I have noticed that everyone has been having a very hard time making sales using Etsy.

I don't know where is the problem because I work a lot on my page but still nothing happens.

I think maybe a good idea to favoriting and following each other's shops...

We should also be finding each other on social media as well.

Helping each other to grow there as well.

Maybe some sales happen.

Same.  I think following each other is s great idea.  I'll follow your shop to .  I'm an artist and began jewelry last year.  I didnt really work social media much at first. But now, after literally over a year, STUDYING, reading about hashtags has really helped.  , Leslie

Same here too. I have followed both your shops. Ive been selling my wooden dolls for only 2 months and ive gotten 2 sales so im grateful. To many more.

Social media is key. Personally, I would check out Instagram Marketing Secrets Podcast. He has a lot of great information on there. Shopping on etsy prior to selling I don't think I ever looked at how many people were following a shop. I looked at reviews and price. Put yourself in the customers shoes. 

Your work is really great! I would highlight custom orders over premade stuff though. For example, I would reach out to bigger instagram accounts that you think people would enjoy your work on and do a collaboration. Maybe they do cosplay for a super hero and you turn one of their pictures into an acrylic painting and do a giveaway for that. You'll gain more IG followers but than you'll also get more traffic. Maybe this isn't what you were setting out to paint and sell, but it would sell and give you more traction to do your own original work more. Just depends on if you are here to make more money by catering to customers wants or make some money by telling customers what they want.

That's funny. I've favorited shops from vendors on here stating the very same thing you all are and no one seems to return the favor for me. Not one of you that I favorited, followed, or favorited items in your shop liked anything in mine or my shop. Your just wanting people to favorite your shop so if someone visits your shop odds are they will see your shop under the favorite tab and visit your shop. Return the favor. Favor for a favor???

HI! I think the idea of favoriting and following each other on social media is great! A little support can go a long way sometimes!!!  I just favorited everyone's Etsy store on this thread so far . Hello everyone,

I have just read through this and I am hoping I'm not too late to join in this cross liking thing. I've been on Etsy for a long time and I have had very few sales. I've pushed my Etsy shop through Facebook, but have not much from that either. I am disabled, on SSI and cannot afford to run ads, so I'm getting very sad about the shop. I mean I think my products are great, and I know my readings are good, so I'm discouraged and desperate for some more income since now, I cannot go out locally to do my readings because of the virus. I am going to go and like and follow all your shops, please, if you have any ideas or help to give, I would be very grateful. I don't want to give up my shop but I'm getting terribly discouraged. Hi Raven,

I just favored your page back. Your pieces are great but I think some of your pictures need some work. I went thru some of your pieces and I found quite a few of your images are blurry. Some of the pieces don't have pictures of the measurements like you write about in your descriptions. I also think you should definitely use ALL the pictures that Etsy lets you use, even if you duplicate some pics. Also try showing your jewelry on a model. And you should add the word "jewelry" in all your jewelry listing titles. Some people will search for the more generic jewelry word instead of earrings or necklaces. Good luck and stay safe!

Wow. Your work is beautiful. I can not believe you've only had 3 sales. Have you done any social media advertising? Do you use e-rank or Marmalead?
