Help :D !

Hi! So I'm a pretty new store and I'm really struggling with pricing. The parts + labour + expenses = wholesale x 2 = formula just comes to too much for me so I've tried to pare it down but I still dread I'm charging too much.

Basically, I decorate boxes. I take lovely plain decoupage boxes (I use good ones) and decorate them with very high quality paint (student artists) and even better varnish. I do this as I really want to produce a high quality product. However, I know that there is no point in doing this unless somebody can/wants to buy them.

The parts cost me roughly £10 for big boxes and £6 for candle holders and I'm charging:

£20 for candle holders - https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/211523963/luxury-hand-painted-green-and-silver? https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/215268570/luxury-hand-painted-ancient-egyptian?

£20 for shell boxes (I might delete this line) https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/211527053/cornish-shell-jewellerypencil-box?

and £40 for big boxes - https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/212984096/luxury-hand-painted-archaicclassical? https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/211504244/luxury-hand-painted-black-and-gold?

I was wondering if anybody could tell me 1) if they think these prices are fair or not and 2) how much they would be prepared to pay for these items.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this :D !

Re: Help :D !

Have you searched what other relevant stores offer?

Personally I wouldn`t by a Tealight Holder for that price, but people are different. Those who collect art pieces may pay even more. Maybe you just need a way to reach for you targeted audience.

I think they might be priced too high. Perhaps you could look into buying your supplies online for a cheeper price?

A quick search online showed similar products for $10-15.

I would also suggest making stencils to ease up on labor time and make your lines more even. It might help on cost
