Are my prices alright?

Im still new and a few friends of mine have suggested I don't price things too low so people don't assume it's a cheap item, but don't price them too high cause, obviously no one will want to buy them.

Are my prices too night? Or too low?

I base my prices on how much it takes to make it and how much time is put in to making it.

Re: Are my prices alright?

I think they're alright. Even though, your photos are already good (well-lit and taken). Consider improving them even more and not lowering your price. Also if you think it's necessary to put your logo on all your pictures? In my opinion, they're a little distracting. Maybe a watermark or your shop's url would be better. Also, be firm with your price because I think you're on the right track.

You also made 2 sales already in the month you've been on Etsy. Good job! I had 1 sale in 2 months and some people here haven't had a sale in a year! So, kudos to you for that.

I think you just need to get more exposure to get even more sales. Try blogging, facebook, twitter, pinterest, etc. Whatever you can do to get more people to view your items and get more sales.

You're doing a great job. Just work more towards improving photos any way you can since that's the only way the buyer can interact with your product. List more items or relist, relist, relist to get a greater chance of being found on searches. Market and advertise like crazy and you should see an increase in orders in weeks or months that you keep going at it.

Re: Are my prices alright?

Thank you very much! I am currently working on improving the pictures as we even speak. I noticed the logo was distracting and that it just needed to go. But I still wanted to keep in my good friends work so I decided to simply print out the clouds from it onto a sheet of photo paper and use it as my background. I think this gives variety to my photo's compared to other people's. It also matches my shop very well.

I hope the changes to the pictures will help a lot. It's easy to edit them and so that part for me will fly by. I have tons of plans in the making and tons of bows to make. But I don't want to keep making these bows if they might never sell. So the sooner I can get a few sales the better. That means I will know Im doing good and I can start buying more ribbon to make EVEN MORE bows.

That's great, Megan! I'm glad you're taking initiative. I think your photos look so much better now. There's always room for improvement so keep finding out what you can do better than everyone else and do it (get someone to model, even better lighting, etc.) For examples on how your photos should look like, just look on the front page of Etsy with the featured items. I'm glad I helped.

Thank you! I have a model but I'm just waiting for her mother to get some pictures taken lol. The girl is adorable and as sweet as sugar. I can't wait to post up her pictures. I hope everyone will love her as much as her family does lol. But thank you very much.
