How to safely package miniatures?

This has probably been asked before, but I'm worried about mailing off a couple miniatures that I made that have small parts. I have packing peanuts and paper to wrap them, but I'm concerned that won't be enough. How can you wrap smaller pieces so that they don't snap off the larger piece in the mail?

Thank you to all replies!

Re: How to safely package miniatures?

It will add a tiny bit to your price, but I've packaged really small things in larger paint pots.. like this.

If they are clear, the plastic is a hard plastic. The cloudy ones are soft so you wouldn't want those.

Re: How to safely package miniatures?

I use cotton wool balls to pad any really delicate parts, then wrap the whole thing in tissue paper and bubble wrap. Then I put the item in a small box stuffed with shredded paper and put the box inside a padded envelope. It's a bit time consuming but I've never had a breakage :)

I wrap my items in tissue paper and put them in a bubble mailer. At the post office be sure to tell them that your package contains "fragile"
items. You could also use a small box and put packaging peanuts around your item. :)
