Pattern Only Listings

I just wanted to let you know that the pattern only listings (along with the marketplace/pattern listings) are included in the new promoted listings campaign.  Check it out!  I am VERY excited about this.  Very!!!

For myself, I do not spend much (and sometimes none) on promoted listings...but this is a good thing.  Yes, I know that it means more dinero in the etsy pockets - and that is really why they did it, but it may also mean more dinero in our pockets too.

What do you think?

I'm still reading up on the new ads, but I'm not seeing anything about Pattern.  Where did you find that?

Well, @funkydreamsmosaics, I may have jumped the gun.  I put in a question to etsy to verify that you can choose pattern listings.

When you go to choose specific listings to advertise, you will notice that the pattern only listings are there.  So I chose a few, but the number did not change for advertised listings.  So maybe they are present on the screen, but cannot be advertised.  I don't know if etsy simply has not fine tuned this program yet so the listing are showing up as possible items to advertise and you really cannot advertise them, or if you are actually advertising them … just the number does not reflect the pattern items.

When I hear from etsy, I will post it here.

Interesting. So they will send clicks from etsy.com to a pattern site on another domain? Sounds expensive but I am interested in seeing this. Thanks for the info. 😊

Well, I was wrong.

Etsy admin finally got back to me.  No, the ads do not and cannot be used with pattern. They are fully aware that the pattern only lists show up on the list to include them in your advertising campaign, but they have not gotten around to removing them.
