Hopefully Pattern is the way...

Hi all, I’m new to the group.

Have just started to open my Pattern Shop, I’ve sold around 600 keyrings in the past 6 weeks, but want to be able to have exclusives and discounts just on my Pattern Site. In the hope that 80% of my customer base move to Pattern.

Anyone here had a success story or is Pattern not great for this

Pattern is tied to Etsy, so there is no way to have exclusive discounts only showing up in your Pattern shop, it will appear in both your Pattern shop and Etsy shop. They are essentially one in the same. Etsy uses Pattern so you you can have your own URL appear as yourshop.com vs yourshop.etsy.com to make your website more personable the the standard Etsy shop while still running your Etsy shop. If you are trying to ween off Etsy and move to your own independent shop, then Pattern is a starting point, but is extremely limited in how it works for you.

Thank you, it’s a catch 22. Etsy has the customer base which is ideal for me. I just don’t know if people still buy from Etsy Pattern Websites

The only way that you can have a sale exist only on pattern and not on your mall listings is to place those listings in a section of their own and then have a sale on that section.  I have done this and do this quite frequently.

Ah yes so I put those listings as Pattern only. So they will only show there.

@KustomMiniFigz, another suggestion...and I do this quite often also.  I will have a section where there is both pattern only and mall/pattern listings.  I will put that entire section on sale.  When I make up the sale, in the little box that they give you to put your own wording in...well, that is where I will mention that I have more items on sale on my pattern site. (I basically am plugging my pattern site via my mall shop. Got it?) I do this A LOT.  It brings more people over to the pattern site than just having a section of just pattern items.  I hope this helps.

My daughter does very well on her pattern shop.l closed mine down in the first lockdown because l cut back on international sales . Okay now but not sure l will start the pattern shop up again because its so dependent on you etsy shop.
