Customer Item Questions

Has anyone experienced communications from customers about items on your Pattern shop where you only receive their question and no indication about the item they are asking about?

Example:

Can this item be made with Green beads?

(There is no reference to the item in communications or email)

I tested and received the same info with no item reference.

I have gotten questions like that.  It is kind of strange.  I can only assume that it is because they ask their question when they are not "in" the item, but rather at the "contact" spot that is not associated with an item.  I ended up simply asking them what item they were asking about.  It has only happened a couple of times.  Most people know how to ask an item question, and some people are just unaware of how things work.

My suggestion is simply try to ask them what item they have a question about and move on from there.

I sometimes get this, but if I don't see anything in the email, I'll often see the item referenced under Messages.  But as @AtMemoryLane said, sometimes, they aren't actually on the item, so you have to ask.
