Checkout on Pattern - requiring login?

I just setup my Pattern site to test this out, and I read in the help files that it should allow guest checkout.

I sell only digital items (in case that makes a difference).  If I put something in the cart and then go to checkout - it displays a sign in field - not the page to select payment or even enter information (like shown in the help file screenshots).

I checked out another person's pattern website, and after putting in cart and checking out - it asked me for shipping informtion.  That's acceptable to me - but the login is probably going to scare buyers away.

Did I miss a setting somewhere to allow the guest checkout?  Is this a digital item issue?

I tried on your site and had to log in, too.  And I think it is a digital download thing.

Of course, there was no info in Etsy Help.  But I found this:

And I seem to recall there being more discussions on it.  I didn't realize guest checkout for digital items hadn't been incorporated into Pattern.  That doesn't make any sense.  Maybe post it in Bugs and see if you get a different reply??
