Good morning, I'm back again, yay!!! I am really going to try to get back into the swing of Paradise and Etsy again. Today, tho, I need to scoot out and go find somewhere to buy a half bushel of tomatoes to can. Didn't have any luck yesterday at the stand closest to my house. Perhaps he'll have some later in the week when Michael cans with me.


Tomatoes are a lot of work. A half bushel will only yield about 7 quarts and I'll need at least 21 quarts to get me thru the year. But of all the things I have canned since I learned to do so 20 some-odd years ago, these are what I have always done every year. Store-bought canned tomatoes do not even compare to home-canned when it comes to putting them in my recipes.

So, no one knows if I can bulk change the pricing on my listings with price variations?

Oh, man, Juls....I am so sorry to hear that. Yeah, maybe you might want to expand your options and have a recruiter look for you. Mike has always had good luck with recruiters, that's probably the way I should go, but they don't like to look for part-time positions and that's all I want. I love the hours, I'm working, just hate the boss lady. <heavy sigh> I'm going to keep praying something happens for you, maybe it's in God's plans that you try spreading your wings? Maybe there is something in another level? Have you thought about teaching college, you get to pick your own hours there.

I don't have time today, but I will be looking thru your shop soon, I need to start getting a jump on Christmas shopping.

Sharon, it is SO GOOD to see you popping in again, my friend. How are your grandbabies doing and how many now, what ages are they? I laughed when I saw your fish stamp. I have or used to have that same stamp. Maybe you bought it from me, lol.

In California, we have fresh vegetables all year round, so I don't even know how to can them! We may have "hot house" tomatoes in December, but they are still delicious. I guess we are spoiled. Good luck with your tomato hunt, Kat.

I am thinking of doing the church show.
It's one day - in November or December on a Sunday for $85.
I thought that was a bit steep last year, and with the lack of sales everyone made, I thought they would decrease the price this year, but nope. Still, maybe I can get some people to buy from me at the Church. I will bring generic stuff and wear all the merchandise I can to advertise.

BTW, I have updated every single item that is in my shop.
Everything has "What is Embroidery?" now in the listing.
I tried to give everything a holiday and a color/or not and an occasion. Some things don't have them, but it's by choice.
I want to give people ideas, but not limit them to St. Patrick's Day or a wedding, you know? Mostly, I think that is for the mobile shopper. They tend not to read the description, since Etsy hides it and makes them click on "details" to see it. Dumb. Oh, well. It's not my own website, so I can't make the rules.


Anyway, this shop is updated.
And I will do inventory next week in both shops. yay...

I have created a new towel... I have purchased striped towels and I added embroidery with a design. It looks really pretty. I need to take a picture and then list them. I think they will do well. But, I have to provide a few designs that I can give options because I have TOO MANY options, and then it makes for too many convos... and time is money.
So... the listing may take a little while. But it should be fun to create something new.

Good morning Paradise!!! Taking off to work here in a bit. I have been looking around the help area, I guess Etsy did away with bulk editing for variations, which is totally STUPID.

But there is a third party Etsy app Vela, that can do it easily. I downloaded, but won't have time to mess with it until tomorrow. Here's the link to the help discussion dealing with this. The link for the app is on page 2.

Kat, Vela seems cool. I tried it!
I regret taking hours and a day to set up all of my listings. I think I could have done it in ONE hour with Vela.

I have 969 sales in this shop. I am hoping to get to 1000 by Christmas... or New Year's Eve.

And I will have a Black Friday sale in November (and Small Business Saturday thru Cyber Monday). I really want to hit that milestone.
(This shop has been around for 7 years... so it is really slow in coming.
I believe I opened in August of 2010.)

I average a sale (or a trade) about every 2.68 days.
huh... not as bad as I thought.
At about $5 a sale... that is not so good. But the numbers look good.

Just got 4 pair of slippers ordered from the gal that I just sent 2 pair to on Saturday. She loved them! <smiles> And so the orders start up again for the holidays. I really need to get in there and change my pricing, don't have time today like I thought tho, Mike is home and I'm not wasting it being on the computer!

Juls, glad you were able to use Vela and that it is easy. I will get there, most likely Thursday. I'm glad I went searching for a solution to changing variation pricing, I just know that I didn't relish the idea of doing them all individually.

Hi everyone haven't been on in awhile. School is kicking my butt. Next week homecoming will be over and I will have a lot more time. Yesterday I received an email from someone at our newspaper. They are doing an article on handmade in the Buffalo area and they are including my shop in the article. They are going to post 1 to 2 pictures of my crafts and a small write up.
