Had two cha chings yesterday - turns out it was one customer. Bought an item then thought her credit card had expired so bought it again with a different one. Both items are marked paid on my end.
Etsy will deposit the money into my account tomorrow so giving her a refund will cost me with the exchange rate to me and from me back to USD.
I gave her a choice of keeping the two items as bought or exchanging for a different pair - it was my glittery snowman earrings - as they come in white and in a day or two I am going to list my FROZEN ones. Frozen as in the fact that they are that blue. Wondering how to list them as they are Frozen as in icy blue colour but wondering if I will get hit with a copyright infringement ....
I would have called them frozen blue even if the movie had never existed..... any advice.. people?

You can use the word Frozen.
I do, with my snowflake crystals.
You cannot refer to the movie. But, the word frozen is not copywritten.

Hello Paradise!!! Been awhile again, I know. Mike just sent word to me to contact the gal who sets up air flights with his company, looks like I am flying to North Carolina as early as Thursday! (maybe)

I've been so dang depressed, this is just what I needed. Hopefully, it goes thru. But I work tomorrow, so it will be some quick planning, for sure. Just throw stuff in a suitcase and go!

And of course, I've gone 2 weeks without an order in any of my shops and I get in an invitation and have 2 pair of slippers pending. Hope she gets that (slipper) order in before I leave, I can pack the yarn and things I need to sit and crochet while looking at the ocean while Mike is working.

Also, got contacted by someone from a wedding site who thinks I would do well there with my invitation designs....food for thought. I wrote her back, I've been thinking of trying a different venue. I'll have to see what and how much it entails.

I keep checking my email, still nothing back from the law firm who wanted my Jamaica Mahn slippers pulled. I sent another follow up letter this morning. I'm sure they are in no big rush, but it would be nice to get them relisted. Pick on the little crafter.....

Juls, where are you painting? What rooms? I know how long it takes when you are doing it yourself, I usually do. What surprises me is how sore you get, you use muscles that you don't normally use and it gets harder and harder every year, lol!!!

Another Cha Ching tonight (it's after midnight here). Order for a set of two larger angel ornaments going to California. Already printed out the label and the small packet is ready to ship tomorrow. Yay!

Kat, hope things went as planned and that you are safely with your hubby.

My grandchildren came over yesterday after school and helped put together and decorate the Christmas tree. I have never had it up so early before but it feels and looks good to see it all lit up. I looped garland around the bannisters to the upstairs and bought ribbons this morning to make bows. I made them this afternoon and attached them.

After school today, the grandchildren came over again and we baked gingerbread men for Fiona's Dance School's Bake Sale which is on Saturday. I baked some more after they left. However, the first batch I forgot to put the decorations on (cherry slice mouth, currant eyes, and Smartie buttons). They will have to go on tomorrow with royal icing. I don't often ice them but since they are for a sale making them extra fancy. I made a batch turned upside down (smaller ones) to make reindeer cookies. The Smartie goes on the face and the currant eyes go above (below?) it. Then I will ice to make the antlers. Not sure if you can picture that - the legs and arms make the antlers.

Well it is after 1 a.m. I have laundry in the dryer. As soon as it is folded I will go to bed. Luckily I don't have to get up early in the morning.

Hope everyone is well and sales are going strong for you all.
My Gingerbread cookies were well received at the Dance Studio's Bake Sale yesterday. My Granddaughter received a trophy - Performer of the Month. Nominated by her Tumbling Teacher for Improvement and Hard Work. We are all thrilled! She will get her name and photo (her and her teacher and the trophy) up on the Studio's Wall and on their Facebook Page.
Today, I was over at the west side of the city packaging beads for our Bead Society's Bead Challenge. 11 types of items had to be packaged for 70 purchasers. Some we had to weigh amounts out and others count from 5 to 14 pieces of each. It took a long time. The beads were ones that I had picked and purchased (not paid by me) - they are silver, white, and pale aqua (Frozen Blue) for a Winter Theme.
While I was there I had an order from Texas for my Crystal Icicles. So I have just printed out the shipping label and packaged them up to go in the mail tomorrow. :) That makes 3 orders in 8 days! A record for me. I wish they were not seasonal orders as purchasing will dry up in a week or two. :( However, you never know - maybe my luck is changing!

Good Morning Paradise!!!

I've got some running to do, so I don't have too long but I wanted to pop in and say hello! ♥

Well, I never got to go to North Carolina like I thought. That was because Mike's last shift there was yesterday and they are sending him home. I will be picking him up from the airport mid-afternoon. I'm happy he's coming home but we don't know how long he'll be here, if or when they are sending him out to another restaurant in yet another state!!! Rumor has it, he'll be heading to Memphis until Dec 22nd!!! So much for Christmas.

All these non-answers are taking their toll on both of us. So, so tired of this crap. He signed up for 3 months of training out of state, not 5-6 months of being gone. He and I have never been apart like this before, it really stinks!!!

On the plus side, I am getting orders again. Must be they (Etsy) decided to put everyone who wasn't doing cyber sales back into the search engines again. Grrrrr.... I sold an afghan, my black traditional granny, it's going out in the mail today. Woot! and I have about 4 orders backed up. Hoping I can keep up with them, my neck, arm, shoulder thing is really acting up again, just when I thought it was getting better. It just doesn't like me crocheting, I think. Aye Ya CaRumba!

Juls, I need to get some outside painting done too. For the most part, my house is all brick, but the peaks and trim are getting quite weathered. But, it will have to wait until Spring, as of today, I believe winter is upon us here!

Making cookies sounds great Ruth...that is what I am missing, my husband is the baker. He makes all the Christmas cookies and homemade caramels (we all usually help decorate the cookies and wrap the caramels as a family while listening to Christmas music). Hopefully we'll get to it while he's home, sure doesn't seem like Christmas season is here with "my heart" missing....

I know this was a few days ago, Dianna, but I hope you're feeling better. The flu is supposed to be really bad this year. Take care. ♥

Kat, I am sorry you aren't going there, but YEAH that he is coming home!! I know that being apart is not fun at all, but it sounds like you have a forever love and that this is just a little time apart to keep it strong. When is the restaurant in your town opening? It should open now so that they can get all the Christmas shoppers who need some food! And before the winter storms hit. Enjoy your time with him this week.

We (mostly) FINISHED PAINTING!!!! I can't get to the second story on one end of the house... but the eaves look good. It's about 25 feet on the down side of the house and 5 feet of painting from the top of the roof down that I can't get to - 3 window frames and the eaves. But the eaves look good. So, calling ourselves done so that we can put up the Christmas lights, clean the driveway, and enjoy Christmas.

Getting cold around here, but not yet big jacket weather.
I have a few orders to stitch... yay! I just need to order the particular size and color. (That is the downside of doing clothing... too much inventory, but almost always looking for the right size and color to match the order. Bummer, but yeah for sales!)

And I just got a request for a 1/4 zip sweatshirt, so I have a new listing. I only said 3 available because I don't have them "in stock" but I can get them in 2-3 days. There are no pockets, so I wonder if people would be upset about it and not like it or give me a bad review. I state it in the listing, but you know how people sometimes get. With "personalization" I worry because I can't accept returns. We'll see how it goes.
