Happy May everyone!
I got back from my Beading Retreat late evening yesterday (Sunday). This morning, I have been gathering up my jewellery since I have a show on Saturday. Some of my Etsy pieces have been mixed up with my other pieces so I have been fixing that - others I couldn't remember which were listed yet and which others ones are waiting.
I am supposed to be donating something for the silent auction fundraiser at the craft show. I am late telling them what and sending a photo. However, was not asked until early last week and with me going away it has had to wait. I am thinking I will probably donate a pearl necklace.

Retreat was super busy and all projects involved tiny pieces so my eyes have been crossing and I did not get much done on Sunday.
I bought 2 magnifying portable lamps on Saturday, at the Trade Show, only to discover they took batteries instead of being charged like my others. Went out Sunday morning to the corner store and bought batteries. Unfortunately, one lamp does not work. :( I called the vendor this morning and he will be sending me a new one.

I am getting my hair done on Wednesday afternoon - cannot wait as it looks such a mess! After my appointment, I have a meeting with the Beading Society - luckily both are minutes from each other (which is why I try to plan my hair appointments on the same day).

My granddaughter, apparently, has been asking all weekend when I would be back. I spoke to her last night when I got home. She will be over after school today. :)

Kat: glad the MRI pinpointed the problem. Hope it does not mean surgery though if you have to have the shots ongoing that is not good either. :(

Happy Mother's Day ladies. I am off to a matinee of Crazy For You at our local theater. No plans/invites from with my daughters as yet. :(

I am missing all the shows this year. I signed up for one run by a friend. I did it last year and though I did not make a lot of money, I did make a profit and it was enjoyable.

This year, however, it was so dead that it was about 4 hours before I made a sale (a very small one of $8). Total revenue was $41 - cost of table $30. :( I think the problem is that although very well organised and advertised it is part of a fun fair.

The good news is that I bought a bunch of pretty hair accessories for my granddaughter, and beautifully made (cloth) bags for me and my daughters.

I also won a silent auction for a Laser Quest Party (max 10 people). Worth $300, my start up bid was $100. I upped it later to $150 which was going to be my top bid, but someone came and outbid me by $10 near the end so I relented and outbid them and won!

My grandson is super excited, he has been asking for a party there for several years. I told him it will be his present - though I will buy him something small. ;)

I have that same thing happen at fun faire festivals. The families spend their money on tickets to the carnival rides, and popcorn and candy apples... and the craft faire is an after thought. It's a shame. I used to do well in Foster City, until they started with the carnival. Then, they didn't get many crafters, so they allowed "vendors" of "made in china" items, and the water cooler people, and other vendors to INTERMINGLE in the layout of artisans. It was really tacky looking and unfair to the artisans.

Anyway, glad you "won" something for a good price!
Maybe I will do a fair or two this summer. It could be fun again.

As the last hour of mother's day comes to a close, I am doing laundry for Monday... and stitching... and pondering the love I have for being a mom. I am so grateful to be so blessed.

Hope you all had a great Mother's Day. It was nice here and then it started raining and it's still raining 6 days later BUT I DON'T CARE!!!
Kitty Valerie tested negative for Bartonella, which was great news!!, and I'm getting up at dawn tomorrow to watch the Royal Wedding in my duck PJ's, and eating breakfast in bed!
