sewing patterns
Hello, I think to ask this a few days now, but didnt know who to ask, but this grup is the right one. You know as a newbie I’m curious what I’m doing wrong with my shop. I finally manage to have more than just a few designs in it, but it looks like not many people are looking for them.
Link of my shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/TutorialGirl
Before I started doing pdf. sewing patterns I decided to have photo tutorials with them with a lot of step-by-step pictures in it, and for my shoes designs I even made a video demonstration how they are made….long story shorts: I sell a few designs, but not all of them, and my sales are not in high numbers…jet.
The question is. What I’m doing wrong? I know I didn’t focus my products just in one thing (I have a different products in the shop - I don’t have just shoe patterns). But it can’t be the only problem or is it? I’m interested in lots of stuff and patternmaking is a really big pallet of totally different products. My brother always tells me, that things that are interested for me don’t interests the buyers. If this is true, how could I know what my buyers are interested in? What kind of the patterns should I offer?
I know the big word in Etsy shops is “BE CONSISTENT”, but how to be consistent if I’m interested in so many stuff? I simply can’t work joust on one think and make a hundred and one variations.
Do anybody have a suggestion or what are yours experience? If somebody will look to my shop and make a list of wrong stuff that I’m working on them, it will be very welcome. Thanks for listening my babbling and thanks for this group of lovely sewing people.

Your shop looks great! Photos are awesome!... Are you renewing frequently? I'm not selling a HUGE amount of patterns, but a decent amount and I renew them at least 3 times a day in between some of the sewn items I have in my shop.
Do you have U.S. measurement conversions in your tutorials? If you don't you might want to add them for us U.S. folks and expand your market that way.
Try adding some different tags and words into your title and description:
DIY
do it yourself
sewing pattern
epattern
diy sewing tutorial
Maybe add tags in different languages?
Good luck! Your items are unique and so cute too! = )

Re: sewing patterns
Thanks for all tips, I should really use them.
I think I don't understand the renew button as I should. So I renew my patterns just when I sell something, because I was thinking, that when I renew them, I need to pay to Etsy $0.20 USD for every time that I renew the items. So, it could happen that I will need to pay more then I will sell.
And one more think: I'm just make a new sewing shoe video...if somebody is interested.

What do you think? Have a super nice sewing day.

Wow, I love your ideas. I know I am the new kid on the block. But I think your ideas are great. It has to be in the marketing not the products.

Your items are very adorable. I noticed that a lot of your items are not tagged PDF in the title or tags
