Patterns for serger or overlock

I love to work with knits, but I love to work with them with serger, because the sewing is faster, nicer, even more professional, and it is not annoying as if I try to sew knits with the ordinary machine.
But working with knits is different, and also the patterns are different and because I like to do new patterns I have a question. Do you think that serger patterns are interested for making PDF patterns for them?

I did make one pattern in my shop made just with the serger, fingerless flees mittens. Link to my mittens: http://www.etsy.com/listing/63310195/flees-mittens-sewing-pdf-pattern ... I just notice, that in my title I didn't mention that this is pattern for serger; Is this wrong?

What are you’re experience, what do you think, is this good idea or not?

Re: Patterns for serger or overlock

I think adding that it is for a serger would be best for the title. You can make the gloves without serger but it is just not as good. You know why that is but most will not. I think this makes a great project to learn how use a serger. There are not many beginner projects for that. Good luck. I am still hoping for my first sale!

Re: Patterns for serger or overlock

I agree, put it in the title. You also need to remember that some sergers only have 3 threads, as opposed to 4 or 5. 3 thread sergers need a sewing machine seam for clothing next to the serged seam.

I would add to the supplies needed a serger with x amount of threads capability if you are omitting the sewing machine all together.
