Trouble listing PDF Pattern on Etsy

Hello! I am trying to list my first pdf pattern but I am having trouble. I click the circle for "digital file" and then it asks me to "add files" when I try, it says that the file is too big (more than 10mb). My pattern is 27 pages, I've seen pdf's listed that have many more pages so I am not sure what i am doing wrong.

Can anyone help?

Okay well. The only way I see to remedy my issue is to click on physical item, not digital. My listing clearly states that this is a pdf pattern. When people purchase, i will manually send them the file within 24 hours. My file is 27 mb and etsy only allows up to 20mb if I mark "digital file'".

Any other suggestions?

Hi Nellie,

The only other way I know to make your whole pattern file size smaller is to make it into a zip file. (I had to google how to do it). Mine sometimes get too big just because of the number of photos I have in them (I think).

Another option is to break the file into 2 chunks because you can upload up to 5 files for each listing, and each file can be 20mb.

Since it's my first pattern, I just decided to see how sales go and send as people order it within 24 hours.

Great idea. I did that for the first year until Etsy made it free :) It really isn't a hassle if you log on once or more a day anyway. :)

Is it in Adobe Acrobat? If it is you can usually open it in Adobe and then Save as a smaller size (or reduced size). an it usually brings it down to about 1 MB.

Your other option is to split it into more than one file.. you can upload up to 5 files all with the same limit..
