So I just recently was interested with my own etsy shop and got everything done. My detail for items might not be so good but I'm getting started so it's okay. My problem is I'm not sure how the payments from buyers work. I don't know what policies to write and how it's all connected with my account. I'd appreciate it if I could get some help on how to write my policies and clear up how payment stuff work. I want to open my shop already, I already have the items and everything I'm just not sure about the policies. Thank you for your help!

Hi! I'm super new as well so I'm not sure how much help I'll be..my shop isn't even open yet!

I researched Etsy stores similar to mine in order to give me a good idea of what my policies should be. I didn't copy any of their policies word for word - it just gave me an idea of what the "standard" practice is for people selling the same types of items as me.

As far as payments from buyers goes: I'm honestly a little iffy on that still. lol I did set up a paypal account and I also did choose to do the pay through Etsy so that I can accept credit cards here. I assume that on both programs it will tell you when payment clears. Once the payment has cleared then that is when sellers will ship their items to their customers.

I've been reading the seller's handbook - which has answered a lot of my questions.
