Hello! I'm a Newbie to Etsy and to my new profession as a handmade craftsman and designer. I was diagnosed a year ago with a terminal illness ( non-smokers lung cancer) am in active treatment and cannot work in my previous profession. Alas, I'm a little stronger after a year and all I've wanted to do is create beautiful designs.. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and thankful for this team for support and friendship! Hello everyone! My name is Jeni and I've always enjoyed being creative and being crafty. In college my nickname was Jeni because more often then not if someone mentioned a phrase that could also be a song lyric I would often break into that particular song (much to my friends dismay - I'm not a very good singer ;)
Currently I'm in a new role as a stay-at-home mom to a two-year old, and I decided to try to put myself out there with my crafts and to see where it will take me! By no means am I a "trained" painter, but I've been slowly trying to teach myself basic techniques. My store has kind of a wide variety of items - everything from painted wine glasses to coasters and seasonal items. I'm just putting a wide variety out there to see what will be the most popular, and then maybe I'll narrow my focus once I have a better idea.
I opened my shop mid-October and have yet to get a sale :-( But I'm trying to be patient and try to add new items daily!

Hey everyone! I have been a button addict for years and started to make my own earrings using them about a year ago. After getting lots of positive comments from friends and questions about where I bought my earrings from, I started making them for others and opened my Etsy shop on 1st December. I want something flexible I can do as we have a tendency to move about plus I have bad anxiety so work that fits round that is the plan too. I have had a few sales from friends and am now starting to look into how to increase my site traffic to build on these sales.
Hi. having an etsy shop has been suggested for a long time and I finally decided to jump in when I no longer had space for finished produc tanywhere in my house, garage.. That was the easy part...I've opened my shop then put it on vacation because I realized that I'm not sure I'm doing it correctly. And I'm a scaredy cat.Its much more complicated than I thought! Not sure how to list a product with variables...and still struggling with shipping. Glad to be here.

Hi there! We 'opened' our Etsy page back in Oct 2016, but I haven't had the time to keep up with it while creating the items we have been selling.
Our business consists of me, my husband and our son. We create & sell many different kinds of goods (which is why a lot of people we knew said we MUST have an Etsy store). Our specialties are furniture restoration/re-creation, custom leather good, custom wood signs, rustic wood frames, as well as selling vintage & antique goods we find while treasure hunting.
I really want to learn to use Etsy effectively, especially from furniture people that ship their goods (I am baffled at this process & how to make it safe, as well as financially feasible).

I recently open my little gift shop having been mainly selling at local makers markets and events. I hand make all the items, which range from crochet baskets and necklaces to pompom accessories and colourful novelty crayons for children.
I've yet to secure my first sale, so just working on getting my shop up to scratch and learn more about promoting it and updating with new items - it seems like there lots to learn.

I learned how to crochet when I was laid up from surgery about 10 years ago or so. It quickly became a huge passion and grew from there. Now I love crocheting all the time, not just when I am down for health or surgery.
