I apologize for not jumping in here sooner. I'm trying very hard to get more inventory created for my shop, while working full time and other assorted time-sucking duties.
I just wanted to stop by and say hello and introduce myself and my assistants...um, employers. LOL
I'm Monica and my girls are Lena, Lucy, and Lilya. Lena is a ginger tabby, Lucy is a mix of just about every cat out there, and Lilya is part Maine Coon, I believe. They all came to us at different times from different places, Lena and Lucy were craigslist kitties, and Lilya walked through the automatic doors at work one day last fall. I love them all so dearly, even when they are being demanding. :0)
Lena is my quality control supervisor and design consultant. She will be three this summer and is quite the mature and mellow matron most of the time. She has barely left my side since I was gone for a week last fall when my mother fell ill and passed away. Not sure if it's empathy or if she fears I will leave again as that was the first time I had been away from her except for going to work. She sits with me while I create but never messes with anything, just watches, wanting to be wherever I am.
This is her investigating the bundle containing a new puppy we brought home last spring from a co-worker's accidental litter:
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b163/hippywife/photos/IMG_0622.jpgLucy is an angel. She is Lena's kitty because our now dearly departed older kitty, Snotty, wanted nothing to do with Lena when we brought her home so we got her a kitty of her own. Lucy is only about a month younger than Lena. She likes to kiss me on the lips, all I have to do is purse and making kissing noises and she puts her muzzle against my lips. She also likes to check out what's going on inside, so she regularly insists that I open my mouth so she can insert her entire muzzle and investigate. I think she wants to be a dentist when she grows up.

She is a little instigator and is the one either leading the chase or taking up the rear, either way she's usually the cause of the commotion. We didn't want another cat but I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her. Not sure how long she was on her own before she walked into work, but she was very young and tiny when I brought her home. The house hasn't been the same since. LOL She will also eat anything that doesn't eat her first, and is a very vociferous and insistent little beggar. Here she is in a very rare moment of peace:
