Food Warning.

I just figured out that I got some Little Friskies Chicken and Gravy for Possum last week. I am going to write to them. She only gets a teaspoon of wet food. But she started throwing up. Remember I told you about it... ok ... more then a week...lol But I took her off...and she didnt throw up. So... I put her back on it...and within an hour she was throwing up again and scratching like crazy. I had thought is was her skin problems again. So I went and got fish.. cat food. NO throwing up.

So I thought I would warn people there could be a problem again with pet food products. So Possum is not getting any more poultry.

Why dont they test these things?

Re: Food Warning.

I just switched my kitty to chicken-free food too. She has a very sensitive system and throws up any time I change foods or let her bowl get too empty, or when she sneakily licks the dishes. I hope it works! :)

Re: Food Warning.

Ravenzmoon, that is really scary about the cat food! Do you think it's an allergy, or a problem with the food itself? Right now my boys are eating a turkey and duck formula mixed with another brand that's venison and trout. Neither of the brands are made at a Menu Foods-type factory, luckily, and they haven't had any problems.

You should definitely contact the manufacturer and maybe even the store where you got the food.

Re: Food Warning.

Houdini has a sensitive stomach. I can't give her regular treats or she throws up. We thought it was an allergy to chicken, but apparently that's not it.

Re: Food Warning.

Not sure...sorry for the delay my puter crashed....but I am not sure but she does still eat dry food with chicken. I notified the manufacturer and so far they said no one else has reported any problems. But still she is not throwing up anymore.

Turkey and duck could be totally different and how they are handled. I have also pulled my dogs off any chicken products unless I cook it.

I am just sick these companies are not checking the quality more then they are required to.
