Question

How many items do you think I should have in my shop at any given time? I am just starting so I am trying to figure out how many Bunjee Buddy's I need to be making to get some views and sales. Help!

Re: Question

When I was reading an article about tips and hints it said the more items you have the better chance of getting noticed. I had about six items at the time and now I have nineteen. My goal is to have 40 items by September. The other thing I read was it was good to always have a new item in your shop so people are always coming back to look.

Hope this helps!!

Re: Question

Every successful seller I've talked to has said to have at LEAST 2 pages of items for sale. The more you have available the longer people stay in your shop and the more likely they are to buy. Just make sure you make use of your categories.

Re: Question

The more the better. But remember do not worry about the numbers so much that everything else in life gets put off till your posts are done. Just have fun with it. : )

Re: Question

The more listings, the more keywords will be hit on searches, the more things buyers have to browse. I also heard at least 2 pages worth of items is good, but the more, the better. I have been adding one or two things daily all week, and when I don't have something to add, I renew an older listing. I know I tend to shop on Etsy at this time of night, after the kids are in bed, but I've been listing during the day. I'm going to try listing at night and see if that gets more views.

Re: Question

What about number of categories, and the number of items in categories? Sometimes I see shops with 10+ categories with 1, 3, 4 items in each category and I'm not in the mood to browse them all, or maybe that is a trick to keep people longer in ones shop.

Re: Question

I think if you have different items it is better and easier for you to organize it , specially if you have a lot of them. It even look prettier, I think.
I just started a few months ago and made some stuff for reserve, every day I put at least one new item, not sure how it is gonna work, just trying different ways.
Try! Have fun! : )

Re: Question

I think the categories can be helpful, to make shoppers zoom in on what they really want. I have been making some jewelry items from vintage components, but I was putting them under just plain "earrings" or "necklaces." I started a new section for "Repurposed Vintage." No results yet on whether on not that will be successful, though!
