Mask preference: handle or ribbon?

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out which would be more popular with potential buyers and your opinions would be valuable. Do you prefer having a mask that has a holding stick, or one that you can tie to your face with ribbon (thus hands free)?

Actually, I use round cord (paracord is great because it is so sturdy...550 paracord in 4mm size is perfect & you can find it in stores or here on Etsy), and I use plastic sliding cord-lock clasps. The kind you press a button and slide. like the toggles on hoodies. You can find those here too, like at this shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/scrubhatlady

That way, everything is adjustable with no ties, it's comfortable and easy to use, and no elastic.

It depends on your audience and the occasion.

If you are creating masquerade masks for masked balls or black tie events many woman will not want to have their hair style ruined by ties or bands and will opt for a stick. If going the tie route, sheer ties are often recommended for masquerade masks as they hold better than satin ribbons and aren't as confining as elastic.

LARP, Cosplay or ren fair wearer may want the more solid leather and elastic straps and cording.

I like the scrubhatlady suggestion though.

I like to use elastic or ribbon for most of my masks but for people that wear glasses they tend to prefer a stick mask.

Giving people a choice of option is probably the best way to go about this and that way your customers can truly have the final say on how their magical mask creations are completed with the finishing touches.
