Jill,
Sorry to hear this. You've been a responsive Captain. I can understand your frustration though.
I would suggest keeping a minimal presence on Etsy as you build your own site or move to another. It really has the most traffic and its good not to keep all your eggs in one basket.
That said, look at the traffic counts on Alexa. I summarized it on LinkedIn. Here's a repost: "By the way, I was just on Alexa looking at traffic comparisons. Etsy is still growing. It's ranked 42 in the US and 151 worldwide and that's up 48 worldwide from three months ago. Artfire, it's nearest competitor, is still way behind at 3620 US/12,197 worldwide, but is up 691 ww in the last three months, so they are still growing. Zibbet, is way behind both, at 12,973/58,388; however, it has jumped up 31,697 in the ww rankings in the last three months. They have a monthly fee at the moment of $9.95 (or less if u pay for the year) for a premium account, no listing fees and no commissions. If you're going to branch out that seems the way to go. It's lower than my accumulated Etsy fees and not much higher than Handmade Artist's which is going down in the rankings. Zibbet's also has a free option for 50 items or less. "
