New Creative Project

My name is Mattie Richardson and I run Bunyip Beads and Buttons on Fore street. Bunyip Beads and Buttons and Otton's Haberdashery are looking to set a monthly group which enable members get together, make products, work on projects, share tips, network, collaborate on marketing, events, etc. We would also be looking to get guest speakers to talk about topics relevant to members such as how to photograph products, starting a blog, using props in your photos you can find in your home and pricing your handmade products appropriately.

We would also offer creative demonstrations and the chance to try something new. It would take place in the shop (Bunyip Beads & Buttons) and would be an evening in the week. It would be £3 per session. We would be providing you with the tea and biccies but you can also bring your own nibbles/drinks etc to make the atmosphere fun and relaxed.

We are looking to make the group for it's members and based on the needs of members, so would grow organically based on what the people wanted.

We would LOVE your feedback, ideas, comments etc and then we will plan the first session.

SHOWCASE: By Bunyip Beads

TRY YOUR HAND AT: Metal Stamping

COST: £3, includes tea, coffee and biccies

So far 13 people have said they are going. I don't know if there's an upper limit on numbers attending, so if you want to go, visit the event page and press the button.

Thanks for sharing Lynne.
There is no upper limit at the moment as it is the first group we will see what the take up is like. We have had a number of people phone to say they are attending so hoping for a good turn out. The more people who come along the more we can learn from each other.

We are also looking for people who would like to showcase their craft and/or business at future meetings and people who would like to do a guest speaker spot to share useful skills with the group (photographing, tips on social media, book keeping etc).
