Miniature sizes

I'm considering trying to make some miniature art - paintings to be exact - and I'm wondering what a good size of canvas would be? For dollhouses, and such. Thank you I appreciate any help. Also, if you think this is isn't a good way to go at all (selling miniature paintings) please tell me. :)

Re: Miniature sizes

I'm new to miniatures in general, so I don't have a wealth of experience. I saw a person at a show selling miniaure original art with nice frames - she was working at 1/12th scale. I've seen people on etsy selling as well. If you have a steady hand you might consider some 1/24th scale as well.

Re: Miniature sizes

1/12th scale (1 inch = 1 foot) is the most common. That's what I do.
