Hi all, Just uploaded some beautifully handcrafted wooden earrings with Tikuli handpainted miniature painting on both sides. (oil colours used), handcrafted by traditional artisans from Eastern India.  
Tikuli is an uncommon and one of a kind bit of hand painting, over 800 years of age and has its origins in Eastern India. The “tika” or dot on the woman’s forehead is believed to be the inspiration behind this art-form.

Hello All,

Thanks for the chance to share my story, my name is Liene and I'm 23yr old, I was born in Latvia, a place few people know about. I met my husband while he was stationed in Europe conducting military exercises in Riga. I would like to think, I’ve always been a creative person, however after my husband's, parachute accident, we were inspired to follow our dreams, all in. During that time, I was spending a lot of hours at the VA hospital waiting for his appointments; I slowly started knitting baby sweaters as a way to pass the time during his physical therapy appointments. After his medical retirement, we settled in Florida where our home was flooded with Army uniforms that were no longer of service to him. We slowly started repurposing his military uniforms into stylish totes and I started exploring other aspects of sustainable fashion. I came up with the shop name Kirsak because it is the beginning of my last name, the Latvian word for cherry.
